In the last few weeks, Microsoft has begun to roll out the early versions of the Skype for Business for Mac application. Microsoft intends to do a staged release process, releasing one feature at a time to a small group of testers.
Currently, the Meeting Preview application is available. You can run the Skype for Business Preview alongside the Lync for Mac 2011 app, using the Skype app for Meetings and Lync for everything else.
A meeting on Skype for Business on Mac looks slightly different than its Windows counterpart. Instead of the Gallery view, we just have a speaker view.
There are still restrictions on Mac
There are still quite a few restrictions; Although you can see screen presentation and present your own screen, you cannot request or give mouse control. You also do not have access to advanced sharing options like whiteboard, polling or PowerPoints. But remember that this is in the very early stages of development and will continue to grow.
